H1N1 Flu Vaccine Update
The Metro Public Health Department exhausted the current available supply of injectable H1N1 vaccine on 11/3/2009.
Wednesday, November 4th, we will only be offering the H1N1 FluMist from 7am to 4pm. The FluMist is only offered to those ages 2 – 49 years of age, without underlying health conditions, and not pregnant. There is no charge for the FluMist.
No shortage of H1N1 vaccine is expected. However, limited quantities and types of the vaccine come in with each shipment. Health officials will expand access to the H1N1 injectable vaccine in the coming weeks and months to every Metro Nashville Public School and at community flu shot clinics.
